We are a participating provider with most major health insurers in this region of Mississippi.
We are pleased to accept a full range of insurance plans at Choctaw Regional Medical Center. Prior to your medical visit, it would be wise to contact your insurance company to verify your specific benefits and coverage. You may have network restrictions, co-payments, deductibles or other out-of-pocket expenses. Also, not all services may be covered by your insurance plan.
Our goal is for each of our patients and their families to have the best healthcare experience possible. If you have questions our Financial Counselors are available to assist you Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. by calling 662-285-4420.
In an effort to help simplify the insurance submission/approval process, we offer these suggestions:
Know and follow your insurance plan’s requirements
Be sure to understand your insurance benefits. Most insurance plans require patients to pay a co-payment or deductible amount. Please come to your appointment prepared to make your co-payment.
Help us collaborate with your insurance plan
Your insurance benefits are the result of your contract with your insurance plan. Choctaw Regional Medical Center is a third party to those benefits, and may need your assistance in working with your insurance plan to obtain approval for services and coordinate payment.
Understand your financial responsibility
If your insurance plan does not pay your bill within 90 days after billing, or if your claim is denied, you will receive a statement from Choctaw Regional Medical Center indicating the bill is your responsibility. All bills sent to you are due upon receipt. We recognize that even fully insured patients may have a difficult time paying for deductibles and co-pays. We provide several options that may help you, including our payment plans. Until your bill is paid in full, you will receive additional correspondence from our billing office to keep you informed of the status of your account.
