The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to make news around the United States and abroad. Our leadership team at Choctaw Regional Medical Center remains focused on preparation efforts and response to the virus. We have established a COVID-19 Task Force that is led by Sid Hill and is comprised of a multidisciplinary team including medical staff members.
The CT Coronary Artery Calcium Score. This simple non-invasive CT scan measures the amount of plaque in the coronary arteries. Your coronary arteries are the blood vessels that supply oxygen-rich blood to the heart. Unfortunately, sometimes this plaque, made up of fat, calcium and other yucky substances can build up in these arteries and narrow or close them.

Many volunteers and hospital employees took part in a simulated emergency operations drill on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Choctaw Regional Medical Center. The drill, which is required by The Department of Health and FEMA/MEMA, focused on response plans in the event of a crisis, which could bring a sudden flood of patients who are injured or suffering onto the hospital campus.
